2. The Drain Pan Is Rusted or Damaged

The drain pan is there to hold and direct condensation so it can safely drain away from the system. The problem is that the pan spends its life around water. Over time, especially on older systems, that pan can rust, crack, shift, or start leaking.

When that happens, the best thing to do is go ahead and call your A/C technician and have them replace the drain pan.

3. The A/C Is Running, But the House Is Not Cooling
